Mary’s Market
Mary’s Market is located at the eastern entrance of the Calwell Shopping Centre, across the carpark from the church.
The mission of Mary’s Market is to provide outreach to the community in which it serves, as an extension of St Mary in the Valley Anglican Church, in partnership with Anglicare. The aim is to provide an outlet for recycled items in a sustainable environment.
Opening Hours: Wednesday to Saturday 9:30am - 4:00pm

Donations: (During opening hours)
The following items are accepted: Women, men and children’s clothes in good clean condition; shoes, manchester, books, bric-a-brac, jewelry and toys in good condition.
Some of the items that cannot be accepted: Electrical items, baby items , including strollers, prams, car sets etc. for safety reasons; bike helmets and furniture.

While supporting St Mary in the Valley, Mary’s Market also supports:
Parish Missions - Flood Appeal (monetary donation)
Embracing Ministries (Monetary donations)
St John’s Care (Clothing and blankets for the homeless)
RSPCA (Blankets)
Gordon Community Centre (A basket for food donations outside shop)
Roundabout (Donations of children’s clothes)
Share the Dignity (Donations of personal items for homeless women)

Volunteers:
We currently have 35 volunteers, both parishioners and non-parishioners. Volunteers must have a current ACT Working With Vunerable Peoples Card. Application forms are available at the shop.
